Cancer Patients Europe (CPE), the Asociación Española contra el Cáncer and Fundació HiTT are organising a conference on 10 October entitled The new EU HTA regulation and opportunities for patients, which will be held at the Spanish Parliament in Madrid.

The aim of the event is to discuss with experts from different fields how the new European regulation for health technology assessment (HTA), which came into force in January 2025, is being implemented in Spain. Representatives from the government, pharmaceutical companies, patient associations and HTA professionals will jointly analyse the changes brought about by the new regulations — with which the EU aims to accelerate the arrival of health innovations on the market — and the opportunities they may offer patients.

Specifically, the programme includes the presentation of innovations in precision oncology — liquid biopsy and ESR1 mutations in metastatic breast cancer — and a round table discussion on how new regulations may influence access to these innovations and their outcomes.

Registration is now open. Reserve your place here and take part in this interesting debate on the present and future of healthcare innovation.
