Fundació HiTT has launched a survey to gather information and evidence on how to formulate succesful strategies for a meaningful and structured patient involvement in the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) process.
While HTA is essential for ensuring that treatments and medical technologies are efficacious, cost-effective and accessible to the public, a truly responsive healthcare system must also reflect the lived experiences, needs and values of patients. Nowadays the value of patient perspectives is increasingly acknowledged but implementation remains inconsistent and with limited guidance on best practices.
The inputs collected through the FHiTT survey will help generate recommendations to support a more inclusive and patient-centred approach to healthcare decision-making.
